Exchanges and refunds of tickets – From the moment that the transaction is completed, all tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable unless a show has been cancelled or the particulars of the show change in a manner that results in you being unable or unwilling to attend, in which case we shall notify you and reimburse the price of the tickets as soon as possible. In respect of purchases through the Website, completion is deemed to be once you have agreed to the terms and conditions and clicked to confirm your purchase.
Booking Fee – A booking fee of 70p per ticket applies to web and telephone bookings. A maximum booking fee of £3.50 applies where the booking is made by telephone or through the website.
The 24 Hour Clock – The Summerhall website and programme use a 24-hour clock to display show performances. Please ensure that you have booked tickets for the correct date before completing your purchase.
Unreserved Seating – All Summerhall performances have unreserved seating and we cannot guarantee all members of a party will be seated together.
Concessions – General concession prices are applicable to students, registered unemployed, customers with disabilities, senior citizens and children under the age of 18. Proof of status must be presented at the venue. If proof cannot be shown you will be charged the full amount.
2 for 1 Ticket Offer – Please ensure that you book tickets in multiples of 2 for this offer to apply. The 2-for-1 offer applies only to full price tickets
Group Discounts – For many performances, a 10% discount for groups of 10 persons or more is available. Please check prior to making your booking.
Family Tickets – Are available for some shows for two adults and two children, or one adult and three children under the age of 18. Tickets must be booked in multiples of four for this offer to apply.
Free Tickets – Free shows at Summerhall are ticketed and must be booked. A booking fee will be charged if booking online.
Latecomers – During the festival due to the tight time schedule of our shows Summerhall operates a no latecomers policy. This means you will be not be admitted to a show if you arrive after the doors have closed. It is your responsibility to ensure you arrive in plenty of time, please do not rely on show calls.
Babes in Arms – Summerhall operates a “Babes in Arms” policy. Babies and very young children aged 2 years (24 months) or under are granted entry to a performance without a ticket, provided they are then seated in the lap of their accompanying adult and do not take up a seat themselves.
Accessibility – Reasonable adjustments have been made to the venue to give the best access for customers with disabilities. However, Summerhall is B-Listed and over one hundred years old and not all of our venue spaces or shows are accessible. For more information please visit our ACCESSIBILITIES page.
